On Saturday afternoon few food bloggers were invited by FoodPanda to have a discussion on food. This meeting was organized at the The Potbelly Rooftop Cafe, shahpur jat, a place where you can find mouthwatering bihari cuisine
.We had a formal introduction followed by welcome drink (thandhai) along with an interesting contest. We had to pen down all the ingredients of the drink and come up with a new name. It was fun and interesting as people shared various ingredients  and came up with various nomenclature. Thadhai was refreshing and it reminded me of my college days in Allahabad.

Thandai, most commonly known as “Sardai”, is a cold drink prepared with a mixture of almonds, fennel seeds, magaztari seeds (watermelon kernel), rose petals, pepper, vetiverseeds, cardamom, saffron, milk and sugar. This drink common in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan – mostly in Peshawar. It is native to India and is often associated with the Maha Shivaratri and Holi festival (Source Wiki)

I was pleased with the way Foodpanda Team organized the event. The team was courteous and it was fun interacting with them. We had great discussion around food, cuisines with Aditya, gaurav and other team members. They also had organized lunch and we ordered food through their website.

We had Litti Chokha and Chicken, followed by mutton chop masala with lachha parantha, Rohu fish prepared in mustard gravy(Yellow mustard and Rohu is  also a delicacy in Bihar.) The Food was authentic, delicious and the fish was similar to what I had since childhood at home. I haven’t seen any place in Delhi where we find authentic Bihari Cuisine. Mutton Chop was spicy and perfectly cooked. ( I am referring to Roof top belly café)
I will visit the place again and write detailed review on this café.
An afternoon well spent with foodpanda. New people, great Food – A start for a perfect weekend!
