26th January was a lazy Sunday for us… We woke up to watch the Republic Day Parade on television having a nice mug of coffee.
The parade was so interesting, that neither me nor my Mom felt the urge to go to the kitchen and cook something. Breakfast was skipped, and we had another round of chai-coffee. But by the time, the Parade ended, we all were starving !!! We decided to hog some good food and went out for lunch!!!

Since we are new to Dwarka, we didn’t know many places around. During one of our visits to the market, me and hubby had noted the Hi Mircheee restaurant in Sector 12, but never visited it. Having heard some good reviews from foodie friends around, we decided to try this one for the advantage of not to travel too far!!

Situated on the 3rd floor, it has a lift for it’s own. When we entered, we were immediately guided to the table ( Maybe because we went a little late-afternoon, we didn’t have to wait too long despite being a weekend ). The ambiance is decent, the seating is comfortable and there were balloons all over to celebrate the Republic Day Spirit!!

We decided to start with the soup…We ordered sweet corn and manchow soup and for starters, we asked for the staff suggestion ( all vegetarian…since i am a veggie). Veg Platter it was !!! Meanwhile, we decided to scroll on the menu and we were happy to see such a wide range of Mughlai and Chinese dishes they had too. There was a wide variety in the drinks menu too ( yes, it was a dry day, but we were happy to see the availability of all brands and the interesting cocktails they served). The service was quick… we had it all on the table already..

The soup was perfect warm and less spicy… we loved it !! The veg platter looked interesting… Assorted veggies and paneer sauteed in orange juice, red chilli paste and indian herbs. The quantity was pretty good too.

For the main course, we ordered the Methi Malai Mutter and the Ralli Milli Sabziyan ( Like a mix veggie ). To go alongwith, a pineapple raita and some bread , of course ( There was a wide choice… we asked for Garlic Naan and Lachha Paratha ). The Garlic naan was impeccable, the main course dishes cooked with less oil and the pineapple raita was just enough sweet !!!

Since we were full on our stomach, we didn’t taste any dessert, but just a salted fresh lime soda to end the meal with !

Overall, a good experience and i would surely like to go back again sometime in the evening, to experience the live music that is held on weekends ( as told to us ), and hubby would surely like to chow down some non-vegetarian dishes!!! We also got to know that it is one of the oldest restaurants – close to 10 years- in Dwarka. Must visit for Dwarkaiites – Easy parking, good food, decent ambience for a family restaurant, and not too high on the pockets. The food was value for money.
