I have been to Amreli quite a number of times in the past and have always admired this place. It has great interiors, excellent al-fresco (and now that winter is approaching, this is going to be a great place for lunch/Sunday brunches).

This place is owned by Sidhant Lamba, an interior designer himself and this place is artistically beautiful. This time, I went to try their new menu that was launched, after Amreli’s first anniversary. . This is the place where we earlier had Olive Beach frequented by expats and diplomats from the vicinity. The addition in Amreli’s new menu is Pan Asian cuisine and some new dishes in their Indian section as well.

You can read my last experience of Amreli here.

spinach and mushroom dimsumsWe started our meal with Japanese Sesame Spinach salad which has shredded spinach, red spinach salad dressed with lemon sesame dressing. This was crunchy and the citrus flavour added the zing – a light and refreshing salad and an excellent way to start the meal. Teriyaki chicken skewers with peanut sauce were good starter and a great accompaniment with cocktail.

Chicken dimsums weren’t great and tasted like regular momos that we get everywhere. Chicken was dry and the outer layer of momos was thick. The spinach and mushroom momos that was served on hot pot were good. They were juicy and moist and had great flavour.

railway mutton curry Next was railway mutton curry, cooked with potato. I ordered jalpeno naan along with it. I was expecting the railway mutton curry to be spicy. It wasn’t spicy and potatoes didn’t have any flavour as the gravy didn’t seep into potato. The naan was excellent and the sweet mango chutney served along with it was exceptionally good. We also tried veg Thai curry along with sticky rice and it was great.

We finished our meal with apple kulfi and death by chocolate. Apple kulfi was good in terms of presentation; however it failed to impress me. Death by chocolate was good.

This place looks amazing and with winters are coming in, I am sure people will love coming here.
