My love for All American Diner is no longer a secret. I have been a regular visitor of this place for 10 years. Though I have always been here for breakfast and earlier never been for lunch or dinner, yet the experience was amazing!
Last week when I got to know that they have pop up at Drift, Epicentre Gurgaon till the end of April, I decided to have dinner.
Americans are known for enjoying larger portions, high energy and high carb food. This for sure is not for the health conscious; however a treat to your palate and soul is required too!
You can read my previous experience of all American diner here. My favourite breakfast is sunrise skillet that has crispy fried bacon, scrambled eggs, pork sausages and my all-time favourite pan cakes.
I decided to start with my favourite breakfast sunrise skillet. The taste and feeling were the same (read amazing), except that this place too can’t beat the pancakes of IHC. I felt the pancakes were thicker.
The chefs at Drift have been trained at IHC to run the pop up here at the epicentre. You may miss the décor of the AMD which is bright colourful red with checks, however the food and taste is the same.
Herb crumbled grill fish was perfectly marinated – excellent crisp and served with lemon butter, garlic mash and veggie. The portion is very fulfilling and more than enough for one person. Flavour too is great.
Chicken breast prepared in steak style served with golden fried prawns (surf “n” turf) has very large portion of chicken breast and is prepared well. Chicken wings and fish fry too, were absolutely delicious. I felt that Caesar salad had loads of mayonnaise.
Baked hash and corn was the star of the day. A typical American dish full of carb, great portions and fulfilling – You will love it.
It’s great opportunity for Gurgaon people as commuting to Delhi at times, gets difficult – Enjoy The all American diner at Gurgaon till the end of April! Enjoy your meal as long as it lasts!
