It’s not any easy task to select 20-30 best meals out of the more than 200 odd meals that I have had last year. It’s a humongous task, going through each month’s archive and then selecting.

And here is the second part of my best meal of 2016.

DEL, Roseate House  – 17th September

It was during the restaurant week when I dined at DEL at The Roaseate House, probably the most stunning hotel in Delhi as of today. It surely is going to redefine the luxury of five star hotels. It was a three course meal but this place is going to give run for money to every hotel very soon. I am yet to visit for a full meal, but this is going to be thee talk of the town in 2017. You can read about them here.

Royal Delicacies of Mewar at Varq – 3rd September

Varq did some great promotions last year and Royal delicacies of Mewar was one of them. Khad meat which was cooked under the sand and passley angeela, lamb chops cooked on charcoal was the highlight of the festival. I am looking forward to see what they have in for 2017. You can read about them here.

 Jashn-e-fateh – Eros Nehru place – 18th September

This is a festival which I will never forget. Infact one of the best festivals I have ever attended in any of the hotel. The food was simply outstanding and the dishes that were created; I haven’t had before. Executive Chef Suprabhat and F&B Director Umesh Dalal hosted some of the best festival of 2016 at Eros Nehru Place. You can read about them here

Flavours of rajasthan, Hilton garden inn – 14th September

Executive Chef Sunil hails from Rajashthan and I know pretty well that how close this festival was for him. This was the best Rajasthani meal that I had. Better than whatever I have eaten in Jaipur or anywhere. You can read about them here

Parsi food festival at Radisson Noida – 21st October

I was told that many people wait for this festival every year. And trust me they were right. This parsi festival is something you should look forward to. One of the best parsi meal I had in delhi. You can read about them here

Benaras Food Festival at leela shahadra – 18th October

Well.I am back again at Dilli 32 which seems to be my favourite place. This time the food was from Benaras and it clearly showed the hard work chef Aswini had placed. I think even in benaras you will not get this. Absolutely memorable festival!. I am excited to see what they have in store for 2017. You can read about them here

Spicy duck at Taj palace 10th October

2017 was year for Taj Palace Delhi. Spicy duck which replaced Blue Ginger was instant hit and serves amazing Chinese food. Peking Duck and Dimsums are the best. I am looking forward to dine there soon. You can read about them here

Bella Cucina , Le Meridien , Gurgaon – 30th November

Chef Amit and F&B team at Le Meridien Gurgaon showed that even a classic Italian food can be served at pocket friendly price without compromising on quality. A must visit place. You can read about them here

Summer menu at Fire, The Park – 27th November

The new menu at FIRE is already making news. I learnt that the search started months ahead for the menu that was presented. Starting Feb, along with Ms Priya Paul, the idea was to go back to your roots and the implementation took even longer. Watch out for their new winter menu which I tried few days back. You can read about them here

Twist cyberhub  – 1st December

Twist is a place that you should visit, not only for food but also for their excellent wine program. Twist as the name suggests, serves Chinese cuisine with a twist. Some interesting dips, small portions that makes you try more variety and it isn’t heavy on pocket. As I said earlier, other restaurant owners should learn from twist on their wine program and also how to serve small portions so that people can try more. You can read about them here.

Tamra new menu – 10th December

The new menu at Tamra not only has some excellent dishes for health conscious people like waldrof salad but also has dishes like Ambala mutton curry for meat lovers. The rustic touch and the flavourful new menu will definitely be the winner. You can read about them here

Capital kitchen – 15th December

Capital Kitchen is all about serving comfort food with three live kitchens that serves Indian, European and Asian cuisine. It has a small a-la carte menu comprising of dishes from across the globe. They have also picked up signature dishes from their iconic Taj properties. Truly an international all day dinning. You can read about them here

Baluchi at lalit   – 20th December

This is, one of the most authentic Indian restaurant in Delhi that serves scrumptious north Indian cuisine. In most of the Indian fine dine places, we do not have wine pairing. Here at Baluchi you will enjoy wine pairing with almost all dishes. The pairing has been done by their corporate sommelier Charles Donnadieu. You can read about them here

Chor bizzare – 25th December

Classics never go out of fashion. Chor Bizzare has been serving authentic Kashmiri cuisine over the past 25 years. Recently, they opened at Bikaner House near pandara road. Now it’s pretty close to my place and I will end up eating here frequently. You can read about them here

Dimsum Studio at OTW – 26th December

This certainly is the best place to eat dimsums. A specially created restaurant that serves just dimsums along with some other dishes. However you may not habe the appetite for other dishes as the dimsums here are absolutely delicious. Super thin coatings and generous amount of filling which will leave you craving for more. Kudos to Executive Chef Vijay Thaplial.

This is the subjective list and I also feasted at other restaurants too, in 2016. However this list is based on the dining experiences that left a mark and have been memorable for me. I know this is debatable and I would love to have discussion on this.
