Courtyard by Marriott, Gurugram is back with Downtown – Their all new swanky, all day dining restaurant that offers Sunday brunch in association with the famous characters of Nickelodeon till the 12th of March.
The Changes, the Essence, the Future:
I have always been a great fan of Courtyard by Marriott – It seems like ages! Their service, as well as food, has never failed to impress me. Since Chef Amit Dash joined this place, I have always had a delightful experience with this place. The hotel has great potential and I always felt that they should make more progressive changes. And yes, in place of their signature momo2cafe, came up a new modern all day dining – Downtown. Courtyard Gurugram is the first courtyard which has their own restaurant brand. Every other courtyard has a MoMo2 cafe as their all day dining place.
The newly build downtown is modern, has excellent set up and is very spacious. Though they haven’t increased the sitting, but it has been designed in such a way that it looks more spacious.
The Gusto food and My Take:
Sunday Brunches are all about spending good time together and if you manage to find a place where your kids enjoy and are able to keep themselves occupied, it makes every minute worthwhile. Courtyard has always been kids friendly and this is one of a very important aspect for which I don’t mind driving down from Delhi to Gurgaon as well. They not only have special kids menu, but also have lot of activities to keep the kids engaged.
With the Nickelodeon Sunday brunch, you need not worry – Leave your child in the company of motu patlu and other characters, while you sit down and enjoy the brunch.
Another attraction is that they have courtyard grill which is an open courtyard and connected with the restaurant.
My Recommendations:
Order some grill food from the courtyard grill, like mackerel or Himalayan trout or may be lobster and have it either with a glass of sparkling or a beer.
Move on and order lamb chops , and get some roast chicken and cold cuts. Do not miss their biryani and the curries from their Indian section. Mutton keema curry and chettinad curry was my favorite.
Courtyard always has excellent western food and after chef Amit joined their indian spread has improved a lot. Chef Amit now has moved to Sheraton Hyderabad.
Nickelodeon Sunday brunch at Downtown is a perfect place to gorge on some excellent food with superb hospitality.
A big shout out for GM Bhawna Verma, F&B Manager Anuj Soin, Asstt F&B Manager Ravi Yadav, Marketing Manager Ritika, and the entire team of Courtyard for making not only the sunday brunches a happening thing, but also for creating Downtown that vibrates with energy and positivity.
WOW ! I love it.Treat in Marriott with motu patlu its like dream come true. I am jealous on you guys.
