If anyone would ever ask about the best Chinese in Delhi, undoubtedly it will always be China Kitchen for me! China Kitchen opened at Hyatt Regency New Delhi almost a decade back (Their 10th anniversary is on August). It’s not only known for Pecking Duck, which perhaps is the best in the country; they also serve amazing Chinese dishes. With 6 expats (read all Chinese) chefs, it’s certainly the best place to have Chinese cuisine.

Recently they have introduced new dimsums menu for which they have got a Chinese chef who specializes in dimsums. This is a place where you get the variety of dimsums and each is unique, fresh, delicious, tantalizing and the stuffing too is not just neatly done, but melts with every bite that you take! maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in, dimsum menu at china kitchen, hyatt new delhi, Chef Tan Dequan maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in, dimsum menu at china kitchen, hyatt new delhi, Chef Tan Dequan

When we published our first ever list of Delhi’s 10 best restaurants, China Kitchen was obviously one of our choices.

Recently we were invited at China Kitchen for the review of their new dimsum menu. As usual, I reached on time and spent time in chit chatting with Marcom Lady Parinita, who recently got married. I was very excited to try the dimsums and was looking forward to a fun filled afternoon.

They had four types of dimsums – Boiled, Steam, Fried and Pan Fried. Every section had veg and non-veg options to choose from. Besides this, they also have one of the finest collection of wines. I opted for a Chilean chardonnay and tasted Lamouroux Rose 2015, dry, crisp and refreshing with grapefruit flavors that are perfect for summers and a great companion for Chinese food.

Chef Tan Dequan, The Dimsum chef at The China Kitchen prepared a curated menu for us that had dimsums of the different style.

In the vegetarian section I liked Dark green mushroom fungus dumpling and Veg. lotus root puff dumpling. Both tasted great and the stuffing was adequate.

In the non-vegetarian section, I loved glutinous rice lamb dumpling, fresh seafood seaweed dumpling, and Chicken dumpling in black pepper sauce and Chicken bao dumpling.
