This was my second visit to SKY Lounge and probably my third visit to Hotel Royal Plaza, and every time I come out with a bigger smile. To be honest, my earlier experience of Sky Lounge wasn’t great. Don’t get me wrong, the panoramic views of the city from this rooftop bar are phenomenal and as I mentioned in my earlier review, their cocktails are mindblowing. The only department which needed improvement was the food. However this time, the food was pretty good too.

SKY Lounge definitely has more feel of New Delhi than most of the bars in the city. If you’re a Delhite you’ll feel proud because, from the top, your city appears lively, colorful and energetic.

The self-illuminated tables and chairs are another unique attraction at this place. The overall lighting is kept minimal so that you do not miss the fantastic view of the city.

At the re-launch party, I preferred to enjoy some white wine along with homemade Nachos and fresh Salsa, which were too good. I loved the Veg and non-veg canapés too esp. the smoked salmon one as smoked salmon is one of my biggest weaknesses. To my surprise, the kebabs and tikkas were good too as I didn’t like them the last time I visited this place. We tried Sheesha too which lacked a bit of flavor but went well with the overall spirit of the evening.

I would definitely recommend you to visit the place if you want to spend an evening with your special one enjoying the 360-degree view of New Delhi as right now even the weather is perfect.
