What is your idea of an ideal holiday? I have couple of them – Spending weekend with family at a good hotel, relaxing at the pool side, early morning strolling in a lush green, huge garden, dining at al-fresco environment – and for each of them gives relaxation. Does it sound fun and relaxing to you too? What if you would want all of it in a combined package? If this sounds like your holiday plan, then I suggest you to head straight to Agra, home of Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal, where Marriott has opened their new property – Courtyard Marriott. A truly international hotel, huge property and it doesn’t resemble a business hotel, however more like a resort!
This property was launched on 19th February and I was invited to be a part of the official press launch followed by gala event at night. Initial plan was to be there for a day which got extended by another day and it made the experience all the more enriching! Post a warm welcome by staff of Courtyard, I proceeded to freshen up. The check in formalities and handing over the keys was pretty quick and I was then guided towards my room. Well lit, clean, elegant room with a nice bathroom and free Wi-Fi, was enough to impress me.
I moved towards their all day dining MOMO Café and met Executive Chef Vivek who had come from Marriott Goa. I had an outstanding lunch. It is perhaps the biggest buffet in town, wide spread with salad, grilled, Indian and continental section along with very interesting teppanyaki style icecream where you have the option to choose from variety of toppings.

Food (MoMo Cafe – ANISE – Onyx bar – MoMo 2 Go )
MoMo Cafe – All day dinning, multi cuisine restaurant has amazing spread, from pan Asian to Indian. You shouldn’t miss their Indian section that is amazing and their buffet is the largest in town. I loved the breakfast spread too and especially the amazing egg benedict.
ONYX bar – very classy bar which is located next to MoMo café and serves some amazing drinks. I tried their different version of mojito that were excellent!
ANISE – Al-fresco sitting is next to the lawn and runs live music. It is a specialty north indian restaurant.
MoMo 2 Go –Marriott has excellent bakery in each of their hotel and they serve amazing stuff. Here you get freshly baked bread, excellent pastry, chocolates and freshly baked cookies – you will love every bite and the freshness lifts your spirits!!
One of the largest lawn that I have seen in any hotel in Agra. This place also has more than 30000sq.ft of banquet area. 5 indoor space to manage conferences as well as big fat weddings. World class Spa, with best of the spa treatment that gives you heavenly relaxation. Gym has international equipment and a well-trained trainer too to guide you. It also has a huge swimming pool and you can take your kids too.
One of the most important aspect of this hotel is their special attention towards kids. Be it the special kid’s menu, Signature kid’s room – everything ensures that kids too have a great time at hotel.
With the Taj Mahal in close proximity, this is perfect location for people to chill and relax and an ideal destination for honeymooners and travelers.
