January and February were very hectic for us. We traveled a lot for work as well as for relaxation on personal trips.  After the continuous trips, I was tired and wanted to take a break where I could spend some time with family. Since I was not willing to drive for a couple of hours, we chose to stay in Delhi/NCR.

We have decided to spend the weekend with family before heading out for another road trip. Our check-in was smooth and we promptly moved to our room.

Hyatt Place is a business hotel, they have Gallery café located on ground floor and next to it, is a small café where you can sit with a cuppa, try their pastries and relax.

Both their gym and swimming pool is located on the same floor. Since the weather was cold, he did not get into swimming pool but enjoyed a lot at the gym.

Their rooms are good, clean and have a great city view. Room service too was quick and efficient. maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in, hyatt palace gurgaon, staycation, gallery cafe, weekend getaway

Gallery Café

We tried multiple cuisines. They recently revamped their menu and Maulina, their GM shared that Chef has done a lot of research and has come up with a menu, which is suitable for everyone. They do not offer the buffet for lunch; however, have a huge spread for dinner buffet. Most of the guests being corporates; it suits the way they have structured their menu. maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in, hyatt palace gurgaon, staycation, gallery cafe, weekend getaway maneesh srivastva, lifestyle blogger and photographer, urbanescapades.in, hyatt palace gurgaon, staycation, gallery cafe, weekend getaway

We had checked in, on Saturday afternoon and tried some of their dishes from Indian section. The Jama Masjid chicken and pandara road butter chicken were quite good. Since Naina was on a vegetarian day, chef specially made some salad and wok-tossed vegetables that she liked.

I was quite impressed with their bar menu that had some quirky drinks. Especially KB.547 tequila, gooseberry, and Bombay safari with gin, curry leaf, and tamarind puree that lifted my spirits!

Well, it was winter afternoon and next day we enjoyed their Sunday brunch, which was quite elaborate. Grills sections were on the lawn while the appetizers and main course were in the café. We had a great time staying there and would love to come back again for a quick getaway.
