Before we enter the salt room, we put on disposable feet covers. Dr Pradeep Waghmare, Managing Director, Salt Cave Asia joins us and explains, “Mine salt is used to create a salt cave environment. The blue light ambience aids meditation and gives an ice cool effect while oxygenated air enters the salt room after passing through an activated charcoal filter. Fine salt particles are dispensed after they are monitored by the halogenerator machine.”

The salt room is an anti bacterial room and we breathe 100% pure oxygen interspersed with salt. In fact this room is 3 times more anti microbial than an operation theatre so one doesn’t need to worry about hygiene issues.

So how exactly does salt therapy work? Well by simply inhaling this salt rich pure air, the lungs are detoxified as mucus is loosened and cleared out. This helps to increase their functionality and capacity. Repeated sessions help to create auto anti bodies which continue to work even after the session is over. The salt particles are monitored as per the health condition of the guests.

The kids play area of the salt room has books, toys, games and even white light if kids would like to study in here. A 10 year old boy had actually brought along his homework to complete while taking the therapy. Adults can enjoy their me time, watch TV or meditate. Wi Fi works inside the salt room.
