My Maiden Thailand Trip - Part III

Journey Continues…..

In my last post, I shared my experience about Rayong and around. Our Next destination was Pattaya, one of the most popular destinations of Thailand. It is famous for shopping, beaches, and late-night market.

On the Way to Pattaya

Before I tell you about my experience in Pattaya and what we did on our way back to Bangkok, let me share with you my experience of Cartoon Network Amazone – one of the most exciting and gorgeous waterparks in Thailand.

This place makes you meet all your cartoon Network friends and takes you through amazing rides. This waterpark has some jaw-dropping rides including surfing. Unfortunately, we were running out of time and didn’t get to try any rides. However, if you are visiting Thailand, this should be on your itinerary.

AVANI Pattaya Resort and Spa

Finally, we checked into our hotel in Pattaya, Avani Pattaya Resort, a resort within the city. Though this hotel doesn’t have any beach since this hotel is centrally located, the beach is just 5 min walk. One of the main features of this hotel is their lush green area and service apartments, that gives you a great view! We had our dinner at their restaurant Sala Rim Nam which serves thai, Italian and Indian cuisine. One more thing, which we should keep in mind, is that Thai people prefer to have their dinner earlier i.e. by 7 PM. The restaurant is amidst garden setting and you will enjoy delights in the open area with the cool breeze of the pond. I also met an Indian chef here and on our special request, he served us mango sticky rice with coconut cream, one of the most popular desserts of Thailand. ‘

After dinner we went to the night street market of Pattaya, if you are shopping freak, then this street market is for you.

Ramayana Water Park

Next morning after breakfast we headed to Ramayana Water Park, considered to be the biggest water park in the country. We all enjoyed a couple of rides while I still feel that the Cartoon Network Park is better than this.

KAAN Show

Well, this has been, perhaps one of the most entertaining part of our trip. An interesting mix of 2D and 3D makes this show very engaging and interesting. While we really enjoyed the 75 minutes spectacular show, I did not like the stunts that were being done with Elephant! http://kaanshow.com/en/

GreyhoundCafé

This Italian café in Pattaya is considered to be one of the finest restaurants in the city. Our dinner was spectacular. The food here is absolutely delicious.. I would like to mention that the steak I ate here is one of the finest steaks I have ever eaten.

Underwater World Pattaya

Next day after we checked out from AVANI, our next destination was the famous underwater park of Pattaya. It was fascinating to see the variety of fishes under the water which was like a tunnel and we have to cross it. It was definitely an attraction and children would love it.

Our last destination was Moom Aroi Restaurant near Suvarnabhumi Airport. We couldn’t have asked for our trip to end in such a spectacular way. This restaurant is located in the resort and it looks like a whole village is designed around the river. The view was spectacular and the food was excellent.

Finally, our trip came to end and we boarded our flight to India. It was a memorable trip where I managed to make new friends and learned a lot from them. Hopefully soon in future, we will travel together!
