If you are looking for a mobile phone with an excellent camera and a great processor and your budget is under 20K then Oppo F7 is the finest bet, without a doubt.

Read On….

This came late, yeah, I know. I bought my oppo f7 a couple of months back and have been using it extensively. I know you spend a lot of time on the internet and search about the phone but still not sure which one to buy. I wouldn’t put the blame on you as most of the reviews on the internet are full of the technical specification which is directly copied from the press release, and a simple man has no interest in reading on those technical jargons. Let me ask you a simple question – how many of you know the configuration of your phone? No, I am not asking about RAM or MP of your camera, I am asking about your processor which is in your camera. Don’t search for the details now – but think and answer. I bet most of you will not be able to answer that. Well, that ’s exactly my point. The Internet is full with such crap; every single review is more about technical specification rather than actual usages.

I spent the last couple of months reading about mobile technology and read some books to refresh my memory. I also read a lot about Greenbench and Antutu benchmark and also came to know-  how phone companies are playing very smart to manipulate the scores of all these benchmarks.

Why Oppo F7?

Simple, if your budget is not more than 20K, then it’s the best bet. MediaTek Helios P60 is one of the fastest processors and its performance is very fast and consistent. Your phone will not lag and not hang. Oppo F7 also has one of the best cameras and can give tough competition to other expensive phones.

Now since you are not a heavy gamer( if you are then this phone might be slow) and play games occasionally then too, this is the ideal phone. A very steady software, Colour OS is the proprietary OS of Oppo which is the UI for your phone. I would have preferred a stock Android any day.

I am not going to give you very technical specification because one it’s not much relevance and secondly it doesn’t matter to you.

It supports every app, which is on the Google Play Store.

Please do note that no matter how high the Mega Pixel your phone camera has, it has its limitations. You can’t compare it with any DSLR. The basic difference between a DSLR and a phone camera is the size of the Image Processor. This makes all the difference, not the Mega Pixel. Well, I hope this is not too technical.

Now that Oppo F9 is in the market with dual camera in the back with some additional feature but is priced at 25K –  I would not suggest that phone because if you compare it to Oppo F7 – F7 has a better processor. The major shift is the dual camera at them, but my suggestion is don’t fall into the trap.

Every six months, most of the company will keep on launching new phones with only minor changes/ differences. I would suggest you hold till you get to know something major updates/improvements that are coming.

The best time to buy a mobile phone is the second or third week of October every year because by then all the major phone companies will launch their best phone and you will be able to decide which one to buy depending on your budget.
