This week I have been to some great places. I visited two newly opened restaurants. Besides this, I had excellent meals at Park Hotel followed by The Lalit.

I will post about the two new restaurants later. I am here to share my experiences on the excellent meal which I had back to back.

The Park New Delhi has been working a lot on sustainable and organic foods in their restaurants. I have been very regular at Fire and their menu which is now almost 80% organic. They have been focusing a lot on seasonal and local produce. The effort which they have been putting is clearly showing in their menu. Now they have a new executive chef  – Amit Wadhera and new Marcom head  – Ankita Dawar and on their invite, we headed to Fire for lunch. I loved the watermelon orange and pomegranate as amuse-bouche with kombucha ( a naturally fermented probiotic). Great way to start your meal. The salad was fresh and the mustard dressing that gave it a tangy flavor was absolutely delicious. A specially designed thali came for us which had a lot of food. The nalli nihari and fresh sauteed vegetables were excellent. The gooseberry chutney was sweet and tangy. Multigrain bread was pleasantly delicious  and I loved them with bheja fry which was perfectly cooked.,

Even though we ate a lot, I didn’t feel being stuffed!  They have worked a lot and I was told that they have almost changed 60-70% of the menu. I keep coming to this place regularly because the food is excellent and would love to go back sometime soon 🙂

This special menu at the Lalit Delhi will be available for a week and post that the chefs’ team will move to another location.

The Lalit Group has always taken initiative towards social responsibilities and awareness. This time to celebrate the women’s day, 3 of their women executive Chef came together to create an excellent menu that will be showcased at every Lalit hotel in the country starting today. Today the menu was launched at the stunning Oko, the pan Asian restaurant which is on the 28th floor and gives you a panoramic view of the city.

Crispy wasabi bites as amuse-bouche set the tone for the day. A quick glance through the menu might make you feel that you will remain hungry; but after I finished the meal, I was full and satisfied.

Tomato and orange soup was refreshing and Parmesan crisps gave it the perfect punch. The warm prawn and quinoa salad were healthy, refreshing and delicious.

Berry sorbet was the perfect palate cleanser before we started our main course.

The lamb chop with teriyaki sauce was perfectly cooked and had excellent flavor. While I didn’t have any further appetite, however, the tempting lamb was so juicy and tasty that I couldn’t stop myself.

I am not a chocolate fan. Chef shared that it didn’t use gelatin in the mousse which made it more delicious.

This special menu at the Lalit Delhi will be available for a week and post that the chefs’ team will move to another location.

It’s a great initiative and will get appreciated. You must try the food curated by the three executive chefs.
